Portraiture and Human Figure: Learn how to Draw and Paint in Oil

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

This combination of art and English class will help children explore their creative ability and, at the same time, gain new language skills. We can discuss any medium you want your child to explore and I will create a suitable lesson for each class. Tailored classes with interesting artistic topics will provide extra motivation for students and encourage them to remember various information from the class. Specific styles we will go over include Impressionism, Abstract art, Surrealism, Pop art, Modern art, and Minimalism. As an artist, you'll need to learn how to explore varying styles and creative aspects. I've designed this course as a basic guide on exploring different ways to approach your art and honing on a specific style. You'll learn how to differentiate between various styles, try to develop art in specific styles influenced by famous artists or art periods, and to adapt your own style by using it in a unique way that will define your artworks.

All for a very reasonable price? We can do it! Nice to meet you, I'm Daniel. I'm a (private) art teacher, I'm also a freelance artist and have been working as one for about 7 years. I'm looking for students in Utrecht, I have a teaching space available in my apartment (I can share my address when you contact me), but am also able to travel to your desired space within the city. I can also teach via webcam, but I do recommend my in-person classes, seeing as they're more immersive and educational. I unfortunately do not speak Dutch (yet), but am confident we can overcome any potential language barrier we come across. I have the most experience in teaching teenagers and preteens, so I think we would definitely be a good match if you're a parent or guardian looking for a teacher for your child. Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine? Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters? If you have those concerns, I would love to help you. I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels. I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story. I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French. I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.
