Hi, I'm Jorge, a pianist with studies in Jazz and Classical music. During my courses we will concentrate on ensuring that through creativity, the development of a challenging repertoire and musical awareness, the student acquires the greatest number of tools possible in order to express themselves freely in this fascinating language such as music. For example: for beginners of child age I propose the Bastien method complemented with composition and improvisation exercises. In the case of more adult students, always try to adapt to motivating repertoires for them and complement that learning with analysis exercises and theory of those pieces or songs that are being studied. I recommend classes of one hour or more in order to carry out a course that is as complete as possible, not only based on interpretation but also on the understanding of musical language with theory exercises and ear training education.

Cello classes are taught at all levels. It doesn't matter if you're a professional musician or not, it's about learning how the cello works and trying to improve while practicing. The main goal is to enjoy through the music. I give lessons at home but I might go to a preferred place if it's not too far.

Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” In my classes, I try to get my students to think so that in the future they will not have to rely on others to make their own choices when playing a piece. - HEALTHY HABITS Musicians can get hurt if they are not careful, so it is important to have good posture, efficient technique and study method. - ENJOY Music should be all about enjoyment. And in lessons too! I like to think I have a good sense of humor, so laughter is guaranteed during lessons too. - PERSONALIZATION Teaching is not “one size fits all”. That is why I adapt my lessons for each type of student. Duration, methodology, price and planning are determined based on the student’s needs.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
