I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Ik ben een Spaanse pianist en componist (MMus afgestudeerd aan Codarts Rotterdam in beide richtingen) met al veel jaren leservaring, en ook zeer actief op het gebied van optredens in diverse contexten. Ik geef privé-pianolessen voor alle niveaus en stijlen (klassiek, jazz, latin, new age, pop...), en ook muziektheorie-, compositie- en improvisatielessen. Mijn lessen onderscheiden zich door hun dynamiek, praktische aanpak en aanpassing aan de behoeften en interesses van de student. De lessen (live of online) vinden plaats in mijn studio naast de Maastunnel, waar ik een premium stage piano en een top-kwaliteit webcam setup heb. Ik spreek Nederlands op gemiddeld niveau, dat met de dag beter wordt.

At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. Classes can be given either in English, Spanish, French or Deutsch. There is no limit for styles, bring your favorite music and I will provide a safe environment for your personal and musical growth. COURS CHEZ L'ÉLÈVE, CHEZ LE PROFESSEUR OU EN LIGNE Pianiste et musicologue diplômé, j'enseigne depuis plus de 20 ans le piano et la théorie de la musique dans tous les styles (classique, jazz, musique de film, musique populaire...) à des élèves de tous âges et niveaux. Selon les envies, tous les aspects de la musique et du répertoire de piano sont abordés : Lecture de partitions, analyse, jeu à l'oreille, improvisation, développement de la musicalité, travail plus technique, jeu en ensemble, culture et histoire de la musique, préparation au jeu en public, répertoire peu connu... J'enseigne également le solfège de manière ludique et interactive, afin de favoriser les réflexes et la compréhension rapide. Quels que soient vos objectifs (initiation, préparation à un examen, amélioration des points faibles), je vous apporterai ce que la plupart des enseignements publics sont incapables de vous offrir afin de vous permettre de faire d'énormes progrès. L'enseignement est dynamique, moderne et adapté à chaque élève. Il combine solfège, travail de l'oreille et instrument et s'adresse aux élèves de tous niveaux, du débutant (ou faux débutant) au musicien plus avancé. Le niveau et les besoins sont déterminés dès la première leçon. Pour garantir les progrès, la motivation et, surtout, le plaisir, je fais régulièrement le point sur les acquis et les attentes de mes élèves. Basés sur les méthodes les plus réputées, documentées et modernes (C.-L. Hanon, C. Czerny, J. Brahms, F. Chopin, A. Cortot, M. Jaëll, M. Long, E. Dohnányi, B. Bartók, C. Orff, P. Roskell, J. Siskind, M. Levine, J. Siron, L. Cugny, N. Loriers, Berklee College...), les cours et leurs supports sont mis à jour d'année en année. Évolutifs, ils sont personnalisés et s'adaptent aux progrès et aux besoins de l'élève. Quelle que soit l'orientation choisie, les bases de l'apprentissage de l'instrument demeurent communes (position des mains, technique au piano, bases de la théorie, travail de l'oreille et de la sensibilité musicale). Dans un deuxième temps, les leçons évoluent en fonction des progrès et des goûts de l'élève. La convivialité est garantie ! Si l'apprentissage du piano demande de l'investissement (physique, mental, temporel, etc.), je ferai toujours de mon mieux pour que vous appreniez dans les meilleures conditions ! Il est possible de suivre les cours à domicile (Schaerbeek, à proximité de la station prémétro Diamant), au domicile de l'élève (Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Schaerbeek, Saint-Josse, Evere et autres communes limitrophes, occasionnellement dans le Brabant wallon) mais également à distance (plusieurs webcams permettent de suivre le cours dans des conditions optimales). La fréquence des leçons est au choix de l'élève : chaque semaine (pour une progression rapide), toutes les deux semaines ou à différentes dates convenues à l'avance selon les disponibilités de chacun. Toutefois, le facteur déterminant demeure le travail personnel chez soi, sur base des consignes qui auront été données au cours. Les cours peuvent être donnés en français, anglais et espagnol.

The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. What I want you to get from your lessons with me, is not only a huge knowledge of theorical stuff or a great technique, I would like to show you my musical world, the imagination and inner exploration that is required to understand and to love music in a whole new level. Once you have found them, it will be very hard to quit playing! El Taller Tecla y Música es un espacio pensado para aprender y desarrollar tu sentido musical y expresivo a través del piano y/o teclados. El objetivo principal es aprender a hacer música y disfrutar del proceso de aprendizaje y sus resultados. El material con el que trabajamos (canciones, piezas instrumentales y ejercicios) está orientado principalmente a tu gusto musical, y la elección es en función de ir ampliando gradualmente tus posibilidades técnicas y expresivas, y a la vez explorar distintos estilos musicales. De este modo se van incorporando distintas herramientas para lograr en un corto plazo, dominio y fluidez sobre el lenguaje musical y el instrumento. Dado que cada alumno tiene distintos intereses e inquietudes, ya sea tocar por afición o desarrollar una carrera profesional, componer, improvisar, etc., la orientación de las clases se construye en función de las posibilidades y necesidades particulares de cada caso. La propuesta de trabajo implica una frecuencia de clases semanal para lograr una óptima dinámica de trabajo y que los resultados sean visibles en un corto plazo. También existe la posibilidad de tomar clases aisladas con la finalidad de resolver un objetivo puntual como por ejemplo desarrollar y perfeccionar algún aspecto particular de la práctica y/o teoría musical así como el de preparar exámenes de instrumento o materias teóricas para instituciones de estudios musicales.

I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. Este curso va dirigido a niños que quieran iniciar en el mundo de la música. Vamos a aprender nociones básicas de lectura de pentagrama y a desarrollar el oído, mientras conocemos el piano, y exploramos las posibilidades de nuestra propia voz. En este curso también tendremos sesiones de apreciación musical de distintos géneros y ritmos.

Mi clase consiste en planificar y organizar el estudio de la técnica para la guitarra a los fines de orientar en el estudio de un repertorio clásico o moderno. A la vez voy sumando la teoría de la música aplicada a la guitarra a los fines de que el estudiante pueda realizar un proceso de sincronización que le permita sentir libertad al tiempo de ejecutar el instrumento. utilizo los recursos técnicos del jazz o de escuela moderna de la guitarra y de a poco voy introduciendo al conocimiento de diversos compositores para comprender la evolución de dicho instrumento.
